Your Journey Begins in Porto
The main Camino Companions tour begins on Sunday, 4 October 2026 at Vila Foz Hotel. From the Douro, the route follows the Atlantic shoreline before turning inland through Galicia to Santiago Cathedral.
Pre-tour context: you will stay at The Yeatman Hotel on 2 and 3 October. Camino Companions will arrange those reservations, with payment made directly to the hotel before arrival. This stay is separate from the paid tour.

Your Camino begins where the Douro meets the Atlantic. Follow the river through Porto’s riverside quarter to Foz, then continue north beside the ocean into Matosinhos, passing the lighthouse and modernist sea baths of Leça da Palmeira.
